Alone in the Dark 1 (1992)

Inspiring and influencing a whole slew of games, from Resident Evil to Tomb Raider,
Alone in the Dark was the first third-person, 3D action title and surely one of the
scariest games anyone had seen at that time. Based loosely on the style and substance
of the stories of H.P. Lovecraft, Alone in the Dark was very unsettling. The player took
on the role of a paranormal investigator trying to escape from a manor haunted by a ghostly
pirate, an animated suit of armor, a freakishly scary tree, and more zombies than you could
shake a stick at. Though the graphics seem dated today, they were cutting edge at the time.

Dark Seed 2

Mike Dawson saved the world from the 'Ancients' in Dark Seed, but the experience
causes him to have a mental breakdown. In attempt to regain his sanity he returns to
his childhood home town, and moves in with his mother. A year goes by, and Mike is still
suffering from serious mental problems and memory lapses. To make matters worse, his high
school girlfriend, Rita, is found murdered after their high school reunion and everyone
seems to believe that Mike is the murderer. It would seem that the 'Ancients' have returned,
and in order for Mike to clear his name he must venture through different realities, solve
puzzles and stop the Ancients from taking over the world.

Resident Evil has you running around for dear life inside a mansion populated by

to you as either police officer Leon Kennedy, or Claire Redfield (sister
to Chris Redfield from RE1), to find out what's going on. The adventure,
which takes place in 3D using pre-rendered backgrounds, drags you through
spooky crash sites, abandoned buildings, experiments gone wrong and more
-- all the while battling undead monstrosities, solving puzzles and, most of
all, trying to stay alive. Lots of weapons and other gadgetry allow for some
truly disgusting mayhem. It's an incredibly frightening game that delivers a
light back-story and lots of slasher movie, jump-out-and-go-boo scares.

Silent Hill 1

Harry Mason and his daughter Cheryl are heading to a small midwestern resort town.
Suddenly, Harry sees a dark figure in the street and swerves to avoid it, causing a
serious accident. After coming to, Harry realizes that he has smashed the car and Cheryl
is missing. Further, it has started to snow in the middle of summer, and the town appears
to be deserted. You must guide Harry through the town while he searches for his daughter
and tries to discover what happened in this strange community. Along the way, you will explore
a hospital, elementary school, and the streets of the town. Since Harry is an ordinary guy,
he will have to catch his breath after running and will often miss his target when shooting.
The entire game is given a frightening feeling with eerie lighting effects especially since
the town is dark and the vast majority of lighting comes from a flashlight. Will Harry be able
to save his daughter and escape the town in SILENT HILL?

System Shock 2

The Suffering

The Suffering captures the disturbing and terrifying nature of the horror genre in a third-person action/adventure
game set in the mature and gritty world of a maximum-security prison. The player controls the prisoner Torque,
a hardened inmate in his late 20s, sentenced to die for a murder he may or may not have actually committed.
Slightly mentally instable, Torque has flashbacks to the events from his past, throbbing images that depict
the events that lead up to the crime for which he was imprisoned. The game features nine levels, frightening
character morphs, and more than 10 deadly weapons from the shiv to the tommy gun to aid in the survival of
this freakish nightmare.

Es el momento. Aceleras tu moto para comenzar el circuito. La rampa inicial te arranca una gota de sudor en la frente. Sabes que sólo tienes una oportunidad para llegar al otro extremo del vacío. El mundo entero se detiene cuando dejas de tocar el suelo. De repente la rueda rechina sobre el asfalto. Has conseguido pasar el primer obstáculo. Ahora queda el resto del recorrido.

Este juego es una versión extrema del trial, competición de motociclismo en donde importa más la habilidad que la velocidad. Aquí los circuitos no son como los que se ven en retransmisiones deportivas, sino que tienes desafíos más peligrosos: pasarelas a más de 20 metros de altura, “loopings” de grandes dimensiones o enormes saltos. Necesitas de toda tu habilidad y sangre fría para superar estas pruebas.

Trials 2 Second Edition es muy atractivo tanto en el apartado visual como en el sonoro. Puedes observar como el motorista parece un piloto real de trial o que el escenario está lleno de detalles como la textura rugosa de los troncos. El sonido también destaca, ya que puedes escuchar como los huesos del piloto se rompen al fallar en el salto más decisivo.

Bigger, smoother and more in-depth than ever, Football Manager 2008 is packed full of so much newness it could well take a lifetime to discover every new feature. So we asked Miles Jacobson, Studio Director at SI Games, to take us through some of the changes you'll want to hear about most... Transfer Center - A new way of managing all current transfer and loan bids for your club, both incoming and outgoing, making it easier to compare bids and reject or accept them.

Finance Revamp - Sports Interactive have updated the finance area of Football Manager 2008 to better reflect the ever-changing modern football world. More information is available to the manager too, including, but not limited to, corporate matchday income, season ticket news, investment funds, improved sponsorships, collective win bonuses and the ability to move around funds from the wage budget and transfer budget (and vice versa) at any point to help you in your quest for the ideal squad.

International Management - The international management gameplay has been completely revamped for Football Manager 2008, including, but not limited to, media improvements, international retirements, player interaction, international scouting, improved national pool selection, captain selection and a separation of international and club morale for players.

Match Flow - The largest change to matchdays in a Sports Interactive game since the introduction of the 2D match engine. Match flow brings more atmosphere to matchdays with match previews, team talks, opposition player instructions, the match itself, half time and post match now seamlessly following on from one another. There's no more pausing to make tactical changes and you'll find a mini-radar pitch whilst making those tactical changes to keep you in touch with what's going on in the match.

Confidence - You can now easily tell what your board and supporters think about your performance in the game through the new confidence section. This gives you feedback not just on your current progress in competitions, but also your financial management and signings.

Easier to Use - A much cleaner skin, a brand new advisor system to help you through various areas of the game, a new notes and notebook system, better button positioning for simpler navigation and an updated tutorial and manual. Also, coach reports to make taking over a new team easier and a new calendar system - which lists all important dates throughout the season - help to make Football Manager 2008 the easiest Sports Interactive game to use yet.

Fan Days - The board can now arrange fan days to boost ailing attendances, or for matches that are likely to attract a low crowd, with a long-term affect to attendances if all goes well.

Awards Overhaul - A full overhaul of the awards system inside the game, which is not only more accurate but also includes new awards, such as the European golden boot and a 'best eleven', which shows the all-time (in-game) best XI for all teams and nations.

Match Engine Improvements - A greatly improved match engine, once again utilizing the footballing brain of Ray Houghton and other tools used by real-life managers, to make the most accurate simulation of football in a computer game even more like-life than ever before. Oh, and the ability to change the pitch dimensions at the start of the season to suit your style of play better.

Expanded Media - More media and feedback than ever before, plus more detail in existing media, and a new competition news section to find out what major things are going on in all league competitions.

Regenerated Player Photos - All in-game regenerated players now have pictures using FaceGen technology to give each player more personality. This gives the ability for players to be seen to mature and grow-up looks-wise in front of your eyes as the game is going on.

In 2004, Raven Software surprised a lot of people with X-Men Legends, an action role-playing game focusing on the exploits of Marvel's mutant superheroes. The Diablo-style gameplay was a significant departure for Raven, a developer best known for its extensive work on first-person shooters. Perhaps more surprising was the game's success in introducing action RPG conventions to the world of superheroes, a fairly novel combination at the time. Ominous deeds are afoot right from the start in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance. Dr. Doom has brought together a coalition of supervillains under the Masters of Evil name, whose first act is to attack a S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier. An opposing coalition of superheroes quickly comes to the aid of S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury, who takes command of the situation and coordinates the superheroes as they continue to track Doom and his minions across the universe and into different dimensions. The sheer quantity of Marvel supervillains you'll face on your quest to defeat Dr. Doom is genuinely staggering. Heavy hitters like Ultron, the Mandarin, Mephisto, Loki, and Galactus all play major roles, but there's still room for lower-profile villains like M.O.D.O.K., Fin Fang Foom, Arcade, Grey Gargoyle, Blackheart, Super Skrull, and literally dozens of others. There are a couple of truly excellent twists and turns, and the story does a good job of concealing the true nature of Dr. Doom's plans until just the right moment. Some of the finer points, such as the excess of long-winded expository speeches in between levels, don't stand up to close scrutiny so well, but the narrative is successful in keeping the game moving at a fast clip.

The events of Blade Runner, the game, take place in November 2019, precisely the time of Blade Runner, the film. The storyline itself is strikingly similar: You assume the role of Ray McCoy, a Blade Runner who hunts down a scourge of replicants hiding out in Los Angeles. The leader of this gang is a philosophical, brooding sort named Clovis who wants to find a way to extend his factory-provided four-year life span and sulks around, pointlessly quoting William Blake and steadfastly protecting his "family," a motley assortment of other replicants. One of Blade Runner's "constantly changing plot" elements is that, with repeated playings, different characters will be replicants. And McCoy may or may not be a replicant himself (a plot element that was subtly hinted at in Scott's film), and every character seems to say "What about you, McCoy?" at some point or another.

Welcome to Megacity and welcome to your new job: bus driver!
Get behind the steering wheel of one of the many different bus models and master one of the countless tracks in the fictional city Megacity.
But keep and eye on the timeplan and transport as many passengers as possible. Reckless driving or unpunctuality will result in a bad reputation and penalty fees.
Only when you keep the schedule, you can arrive at the bus stop when the most passengers are waiting. Too early or too late and you won’t be able to sell that many tickets.
Depending on your success and reputation, the tracks get more difficult, longer and more complex.

Choose between different bus models, 8 different bus models are already included, more can be downloaded via the internet. But remember, only paying passengers will result in enough cashflow necessary to run the bus company.
Buy or rent larger busses, keep the service running and check up on all busses. Or invest in ad campains or special offers to attract more customers.
Extra income can be generated by renting ad spaces on the busses.
A total of 18 completely different tracks through different districts (suburbs, downtown, industrial, business center etc.) offer long hours of fun and challenges.
Prepare yourself for driving in all types of weather conditions (sunshine, snow, ice, rain, fog), different daytimes and the number of passengers depending on the daytime and weather as well.
To show what you are made of, you can try to get into the world-wide highscore list.
No matter if you are beginner or pro, this simulation challenges everybody.

UEFA EURO 2008 Skullptura Rip

UEFA Euro 2008 is yet another football game from EA Sports. This time it's basically FIFA 08 modified to let the player experience this summer's European Championship.
Euro 2008 lets you control any European national football team in many different ways. For example you can decide to create your own character and play as good as possible on your position on the field in order to become good enough to captain your team. This is basically a slightly modified version of the "be a pro"-mode from FIFA 08.

You can also try different challenges and tournament modes in order to unlock extras or just test your abilities. You can play through the full championship experience, including the qualifying stages, or you can skip ahead to the group stages. You can also play a very extensive challenge mode where you try to make you nation the best in European football by clearing different challenges against all the other European teams.

As with FIFA 08 the PC and console versions are quite different. In fact, they are based on completely different game engines. While the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3-versions boasts state of the art graphics and a new and improved control system, the PC-version still basically looks and functions like the 2006-version.
